BLOG – DAY 4: HOSTS ARE COMING…..

Our apologies for the late posting – we’re having so much fun that there has been little time to post! The weather continues to surprise us hear – another beautiful and warm London day with blue sky and sunlight beaming down on us from above.
Yet again Mike met us at the hotel – with his lovely wife Debbie. They decided that we needed a real taste of London – so they took us on a double decker bus ride – which we were all sooooo excited about (we’d been dying to get on one from the first moment they had been sighted!!!)
Heading on a short trip we soon found ourselves in the surrounds of Hyde Park. Taking in the surroundings as we walked through the park – Mike decided that we must head out onto the lake (on a solar powered boat). Still continuing on with the football scores (now knowing that Port had beaten North to play the Catters in the G/Final) – an unusual voice popped up from behind the boat – another Aussie – wanting info on who had won the previous games. Having a laugh we set sail onto the lake.

Arriving at Princess Diana’s fountain (not really a fountain as such, but a wonderful place for people to gather and appreciate what Diana had done for the people). We continued on our way – enjoying a wonderful picnic (and English) lunch supplied by Mike & Debbie!
Arriving back at the hotel – we soon found ourselves heading out with our host families in different directions.
It’s getting late……and we’re all tired (after having sooooo many fun filled days!) that we’d better hit the hay (go to bed!)
Till next time……
