We've made it

5:32.....landed on a beautiful, overcast and typically lovelyLondon day!!!! YAY - we screamed (in our heads), as we still had a good 30 mins of customs etc to get through!!! All of us energised after the long flight, well some of us......ok none of us - we were all tired from the long flight.

We were welcomed by a party of Rotarians from District 1130 consisting of Colin (District Governor of London), Mike (GSE Committee Chairman) and Melvyn. After a brief chat, coffee and a nice relaxing drive, we arrived at our hotel. Unable to enter until 2pm, we headed off on foot (led by Mike) through Regent's park and looked at a number of statues, gardens and water features throughout the park. During the time at the park, the GSE team found that we all had one unusual quirky thing in common - spending time watching the unusual and often erratic squirrels twisting and turning by. Apparently they are a pest in the UK, however, we found them rather entertaining - it did keep us amused for quite some time, watching them to and fro throughout the many gardens.

After some time we arrived at the hotel, intent on getting some work done - well maybe having a shower was priority number 1....then decided to post a blog. I'm signing out now.....disappointed my beloved Magpies lost to the Cats....won't live that one down for a while. So join in the chorus and sing it one and all.......or will it be the power to win.....hmmm...not sure....will decide after tomorrow..... cya......;)

Delighted to receive you to London. Regents Park is one of my favourite places to relax. So quiet, yet only a few yards from all the hustle and bustle of the London traffic.

Hope you have a great time.

Great blog

Hi Kira and all
Glad you have arrived. Watching Cats & Magpies one of the most frustrating games I have seen for a while. Ross disappointed that Roos lost. Don't you reckon the squirrels look like they are break dancing when they run? Bindi happy and sends lost of kisses.

Hey Brett & the Gang
Glad to hear you arrived safely and are having a great time. Loved the photos.
I forgot about how funny the squirrels are and how much time you waste watching them.

Look forward to reading more soon!

Hi Kira,
Hope you get a chance to watch the Cats beat Port tomorrow. We will be glued to the TV for the day! Maybe it'll be a double with Call to Mind winning at Cheltenham aswell.
Talk soon, have fun.
